Shannon Cetinkaya
Hello parents and students! My name is Shannon Cetinkaya and I am the school social worker for Jacksonville Commons Elementary School. This is my fourth year at JCES and I am so happy to be a part of a talented team that promotes a safe, caring and inclusive school environment for all students.
My primary role at JCES is to alleviate barriers that prevent a student from meeting his or her full academic potential. I am at JCES on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00am-4:00 pm and Fridays from 8:00 am -12:15 pm.

Peer Mediation
Topics we explore: Some topics that I cover in my groups, lessons, and sessions can include: friendship skills, respect, empathy, coping skills, social skills, kindness, leadership, feelings identification, overcoming challenges and traumas, self-love, self-esteem, and so much more!
