What is a Virtual Calming Room?
The JCES Virtual Calming Room is a place where students, families, teachers, and staff can find tools and strategies for managing emotions and feelings and build our resilience to face life’s challenges in healthy ways. The Virtual Calming Room offers students and staff a variety of resources that include visual relaxation, sounds and music, mindful movement, guided relaxation, live animal cameras, coloring and creativity, puzzles, and virtual field trips/tours.
It is a website that was created by Ashley Rhodes, Digital Learning and Teaching Facilitator, with the help of School Social Worker, Shannon Cetinkaya.
